Racism

 Is the Indian Society racist?

Yeah, there is a lot of racism in India. Some are very critical about it, and some take it lightly. Most of the people in India aren't that educated, especially the poor ones, and also the environments they have lived in makes them believe in these things. If someone is dark-skinned, they call them "kallu", if someone is from the northeast, they call them "Chinki" and other such words. Nowadays, even children are getting into this, and this is because of us, we are the ones who are influencing them. If we don't change, then the upcoming generation is gonna be the same, or even worse. Not only in India, even in countries like America, Australia, a lot of people face racism.

India is a very diverse country, with different kinds of people and cultures all around India, so what's the problem of someone being a little bit different from others. A lot of people like the black colour, until it's a human being. If we can change the way we are, then maybe this society will change or at least will improve a little, start by changing yourself, and then your friends and family.

Foreign students who come to study in India expect to feel safe and secure in the premises of their educational institutions. Colleges and universities are expected to provide safety and care to foreign students. But recent reports of assault against two African students of Uttarakhand’s Roorkee Institute of Technology have again brought to the forefront the ugly forehead of Indian society’s longstanding underlying bias against dark-toned people.

On July 15, Ibrahim Diaby Muhammed, a Nigerian, was beaten and dragged out of his college premises by more than 30 men dressed in security uniforms. He had left the college campus to buy food, but upon returning was verbally confronted by security personnel who refused to allow Ibrahim to enter. After he managed to enter, the university administration allegedly hired private security contractors to throw the student out of the campus. Benjamin Emmanuel, from Guinea, tried to shield his friend Ibrahim from the onslaught but he too was roughed up.

Our motive should be to improve our society, by educating others, keeping them in lock-ups for years isn't the answer, yea they obviously should be punished for their offences, but we should also start focusing on the ones who haven't don't anything wrong yet because they may take a wrong step in their lives too.

No one is evil, everyone was born the same, its the environment or society which turns them into a monster.

That's all for today, guys. Hope you liked it๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“
