The Indian Education system

I am going to say this directly, The Indian education system needs a lot of improvement, from the teachers to even the parents. If the mindset of the people won't change then we can't expect anything from the system either. So today I am going to point some factors making our education system worse day by day. Some of them, I have experienced, so let's get started.

1)Same Thing for Everyone

Don't judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree said, Albert Einstein. We are humans, not robots, some problems that may be difficult to you, may not be difficult to me. some may not be interested in academics, some maybe, but everyone is taught the same way as if they are making robots instead of humans. The same things for every one makes the system worse than it already is. Teachers should first understand the students, rather than writing their notes, because if the student didn't even understand anything, then what is the use of writing notes.

2)Peer Pressure

In a survey, two-thirds(66%) of students reported that their parents pressurize them for better academic performance, this is because the majority of our parents aren't that educated. Most of our parents won't support us if we try to do something different from society. People commit suicide because of the pressure given by their friends and family, most of the time, their parents. If any parent is reading this then please try to understand your child, and it's his/her life whatever he/she wants to do. I can guarantee you that if you let your child do what he/she is interested in then he will be successful in that field for sure.

Reports suggest that every day 6.23 students commit suicide due to peer pressure, there obviously is  something wrong we do every day but still ignore it.

3)Rat Race

A rat race is a race where the winner doesn't win anything but the satisfaction that he is ahead of the losers, everyone wants to be ahead of others in this society, but no one wants to gain real knowledge, our society is made of comparisons, people who chase for the first position cant do anything, but people who want to gain knowledge can do a lot in their lives. In India, it's a race for marks, but I think it should be a race for knowledge instead. The winner of a rat race doesn't get anything but the appraisal from the losers.

Don't chase for the first position (until it's a real race😅), instead chase for your dreams.

4)Teaching isn't  a profession anymore

There are very few teachers who took up teaching because they wanted to, the rest all took up teaching because they couldn't find any other job. Teaching is a very important and serious job. They should put efforts into their way of teaching, every movement of the teacher influences the student. I have already told you that, every student is different, so the teacher should have the ability to understand each and every child, not only the ones who score the most in the class.

One of the biggest reasons why the majority of teachers aren't that good enough in this field, is the reason that there is no test/exam for the selection of teachers in India whereas Finland [best education system] selects only the top ten applicants for teaching jobs, cuz maybe they know how important it is for schools to have the best teachers.

That all for today folks, hope you learned something. An important note for students, don't take things so seriously and do what makes you happy, there will a lot of people discouraging you, sometimes it might be your teachers too, but just ignore them. I am a student too, but still I live the hell out of my life. Just chill back and enjoy your lives💓
